Competence, fairness, and caring – the three keys to government legitimacy

Amanda is a Lecturer in Political Philosophy at University College London. Her research examines the normative foundations of political legitimacy, and she completed her Ph.D. at Stanford University in 2014. She has held research fellowships at the University of Chicago, Columbia University, and the Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies. Prior to her academic career, she worked as a strategy consultant for BCG, as well as a development advisor for social sector organizations in India and Australia.
